On January 9th, 2023, NeuroXess was invited to attend the Open Day of UCloud’s Cloud Valley, a complex in Qingpu District, Shanghai, and became UCloud Information Technology’s first batch of cooperators. Dr. Qinrong Yang, Director of the Algorithm Cloud Platform of NeuroXess, attended the signing ceremony on behalf of NeuroXess, signing a strategic cooperation agreement with Mr. Chang Han, General Manager of the Emerging Industry Division of UCloud. The agreement was signed in the presence of two witnesses, Mr. Phoenix Peng who is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer at NeuroXess, and Mr. Xinhua Ji who is the President and Chief Executive Officer at UCloud.
UCloud will offer NeuroXess cloud computing services and help speed up the latter’s digital transformation process, supporting NeuroXess’s high-tech construction and its development of social responsibility. Through the collaborative agreement, NeuroXess and UCloud can combine their technological advantages, actively striving to build a software and algorithm cloud platform, and a cloud-computing-service-based digital foundation that is highly intelligent, fully connected, and highly resilient.
China has approved a strategy that is in full swing to channel more computing resources from the eastern areas to the less developed western regions. UCloud Information Technology’s Cloud Valley in Shanghai which goes into operation recently and the other Cloud Valley in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, which started in 2021, support the above-mentioned strategy. Shortages of land and energy resources in the eastern regions pose a threat to the sustained development of the data centers. In contrast, China’s western regions are rich in resources and have the potential to nurture the development of data centers and meet the needs of data computing in the eastern regions. Thus, companies can store data that are more real-time and frequently used in data centers closer to users in the east, and store data that are less frequently used in the western data center with a lower cost. The implementation of the strategy is conducive to bridging the gap between eastern and western regions in computing resources, which helps NeuroXess reduce costs, increase benefits, and provide users with more choices and better services.
It is worth mentioning that NeuroXess, UCloud, MetaX, and TuringQ set up FAIC at the 2022 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) which was held in Shanghai on September 2. FAIC is an organization that strives to become the Intelligent Computing Brain of the digital economy and meta-universe industry by providing large-scale high-performance computing and intelligent services.
